Gabby Sobelman

I have been working for The Times since 2001, reporting on several Palestinian uprisings, wars, peace efforts, politics and diplomacy, as well as Israeli society and its unique cultural quirks.

Before joining The Times, I worked for The Los Angeles Times in Jerusalem as a news assistant. I was born in the United States and later raised in Israel and have since studied languages and editing at Beit Berl College.

I am dedicated to accuracy and fairness, and pursue my reporting and research with profound awareness of regional nuances. As a Times journalist, I share the values and adhere to the standards of integrity outlined in The Times’s Ethical Journalism handbook.
